Tucked away in peaceful woodland in the Aberdeenshire countryside, Clovenstone Lodges have grown from small beginnings into a much-loved retreat where guests come to relax, recharge and reconnect with nature.

But like many great places, the story of Clovenstone started simply and quietly.

Clovenstone Lodges were purchased in 2019 by owner Graham, when the site consisted of just two large luxury lodges – Bennachie and Garioch.

Set in a quiet countryside location near Inverurie, the lodges already offered something special…space, privacy and a peaceful setting surrounded by nature. The larger lodges quickly became popular with families, groups of friends and guests celebrating special occasions together.

From the beginning, Graham saw the potential for Clovenstone to become something even more special, a place where guests could truly switch off from everyday life and enjoy the beauty of Aberdeenshire.

Since 2019, Clovenstone Lodges have continued to grow. Graham has personally overseen the development of three additional mini lodges, designed to offer a cosy, private retreat for couples or smaller groups looking for a relaxing countryside escape. Each lodge has been carefully designed to complement the natural surroundings while offering modern comfort and thoughtful touches that help guests feel immediately at home.

Today, Clovenstone Lodges offers a mix of two large luxury lodges which are ideal for family gatherings, celebrations and group stays, plus three mini lodges, perfect for couples or smaller families looking for peaceful breaks in natural surroundings.  But the story doesn’t stop there! Planning permission has already been granted for two more mini lodges, allowing Clovenstone to evolve, while maintaining the calm and relaxed atmosphere guests love.

From the beginning, the vision for Clovenstone has been simple, to create a place where guests can truly relax, enjoy and re-energise. Each lodge has been designed with comfort and privacy in mind, giving guests their own space to unwind. Private outdoor areas, peaceful surroundings and the luxury of a private hot tub at each lodge helps create a stay that feels both indulgent and deeply relaxing.
